Biography
Prof. Giladi brings benefits from a vast entrepreneurial experience as well as his visionary skills and profound and wide spread understanding of information technology. 
Ran currently serves as the deputy dean of the Engineering faculty at Ben-Gurion University. He founded and preside the Department of Communication Systems Engineering at Ben-Gurion University.
Prior to his faculty assignments Ran co-founded Ramir Ltd., later acquired by Harris-Adacom, where he served as Vice President of Research & Development. He also founded the Israeli Consortia for research on network management systems (NMS), serving as Chairman of the Consortia Board of Directors. Prior to joining DFJ TFV, Ran co-founded InfoCyclone, serving as its President and CEO. His past board positions include several software and hardware vendors, and since 2001 he is a member of the board of EZchip (NASDAQ: EZCH), producers of state-of-the-art, ultra high speed network processors.
The author of multiple books, the most recent of which is “Network Processors: Architectures, Programming, and Implementation”, Ran’s research includes computer and communications systems performance, data networks, communications and network management systems. He earned a BA in Physics and an MSc in Biomedical Engineering from the Technion, and a PhD in Computers and Information Systems from Tel-Aviv University.
